Mostly brown eggs from our nearly sovereign free range layers. Our girls only come inside to sleep, and they set their own hours. We provide the non-GMO grain, they eat bugs, worms and anything else they can find as they scratch and pick their way through the grass. In fact the nutrients they eat from the grass itself plays a large part of the reason our yolks tend to be orange rather than the pale yellow of store bought eggs. Our hens provide eggs that are delicious and nutritious. While they may vary slightly in color, size and shape, when you cook and eat these eggs, you'll know they didn't come from any grocery store. We don't offer just any old "farm eggs" either. We balance our hens' diet, and any feed that does not grow here on the farm is non-gmo and hormone free and has added pro-biotics. All for the most nutritious and tasty eggs we know. We know they cost a bit more than some folks are used to, but we think they are a bargain, especially when you compare them to the "expensive" brands of eggs in those fancy "natural" grocery stores which cost even more, while using misleading labeling to raise their prices on eggs that are not much different than the "bargain" eggs.
